Recitation of the 'Seven Chapters of Prayer', a sacred text by Guru Rinpoche known as gsol 'debs le'u bdun ma in Tibetan, was celebrated at Drakar Tashiding for the first time in November 2012.

Leaders of the National Sikkimese Bhutia Organisation (NASBO), Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee (SIBLAC) and Denjong Chyarig Tsogpa (DCT) attended the Monlam Chenmo on November 29, offering prayers and taking the opportunity to hold talks with distinguished representatives of the monk body.

SIBLAC Convenor Tseten Tashi Bhutia expressed gratitude to the Tashiding Monastery for the prayers offered and hoped that the recitation of this precious text would bring peace and prosperity to all sentient beings inside and outside Sikkim.
