In a detailed report, SIBLAC Convenor Tseten Tashi Bhutia a mass of irregularities, violations and bending of legal norms as well as blatant corruption infringing on the UNESCO World Heritage of Khangchendzonga. Countless are the breaches of the laws meant to protect the sanctuaries especially in North and West Sikkim, i.e. Mayel Lyang and Beyul Domozong, and boundless is the recklessness of the concerned office-bearers.
Bhutia requests the Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Dr. Mechtild Rössler, to intervene with the central and state governments in order to ward off damages to the World Heritage site as well as reputational harm to the UNESCO program in general.

Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee (SIBLAC) Convenor Tseten Tashi Bhutia in a statement slammed the Centre stating that tension between India and China at Galwan valley in Ladakh should not divert the centre's attention from Sikkim.
Sikkim has a critical border with China, he pointed out. "Look, here in Sikkim, the capital town of Gangtok is just 50 kms from the Chinese border at Nathu La. We have to be cautious as anything may happen", he said.
Bhutia's statement came at a time when there had been recent tension at Naku La on the Sino-Indian border and, two days ago, a private vehicle carrying three Chinese citizens was spotted by the army on the Line of Actual Control.
"At present, what I am observing is that whole media attention has been shifted to Ladakh, so, my request is they should divert their focus towaeds Sikkim and other parts of the Northeast region also", Bhutia said in his statement. "In fact, Sikkim is the most sensitive state from the security point of view as Siliguri corridor, which is the chocken's neck, is just 100 kms away. Chumbi Valley is also close and Sikkim is surrounded on three sides by international borders."
Besides the external threat, Sikkim is also facing an internal threat as the influx has changed the demography of the state. SIBLAC works to create awareness among the Sikkimese people about their legitimate socio-politico-economic rights and their significance as enshrined in Article 371F of the Constitution.
The Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee (SIBLAC), founded in 1999, is a tribal organization that promotes the rights of the Bhutia and Lepcha people as detailed in Article 371F of the Indian Constitution.
Convenor Tseten Tashi Bhutia calls on all the elected representatives and nominated public servants to wipe the slate clean in respect to unwarranted holders of certificates like COI, RC, trade licences, etc. The number of suspects increased considerably during previous governments, which does not only damage the reputation of the state administration. In fact, these holders of fake certificates snatch away benefits and privileges meant for bona fide citizens of Sikkim.
SIBLAC suspects that, against clear orders given by the judiciary, fraudsters are protected by the administration for personal gain and/or vote bank benefits.

Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee (SIBLAC) salutes and pays deepest respect to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Galwan valley to protect our country. We are also extremely proud of our brave soldiers who pushed back the Chinese army in Nakula in North Sikkim.
Our organisation stands with Government of India in its strong stand to protect our borders and our land.
We have always appealed to the central government to protect the integrity of Sikkim by safeguarding the indigenous population so that peace prevails in this sensitive border state.
The recent Chinese incursion into Sikkim borders highlights the need to regulate entry of non-locals for security reasons into Sikkim.
We like to press our demand for imposition of inner-line permit/pass and protection of old laws of Sikkim as enshrined in the Article 371F of the Constitution of India so that peace and security prevails in the border state of Sikkim.
SIBLAC has always stood for the honour and dignity of our great nation and in the interest of national security.
Jai Hind!
Tseten Tashi Bhutia
Convenor, SIBLAC
Based on the records of previous administrations of Sikkim that formed numerous committees wasting funds and time without producing any measurable output, SIBLAC Convenor Tseten Tashi Bhutia takes the opportunity of the formation of an 'Economic Revival Committee' by the Government of Sikkim to express the citizen's hope this would be different, this time.
This is followed by a careful analysis of economic conditions in Sikkim, defining shortcomings, errors and wrong incentives in the domains of agriculture, animal husbandry, rural management and development, secondary sector, tourism, health care, governance, local self government, business, financial management, and, last but not least, monitoring and evaluation. Convenor's submission does not end here, however. A multitude of measures and remedies is suggested for each and every point in need to take action.
In truth, a big deal of the committee's job is already done!
